Rooms

Where simpcity forums put each kind of thread.

These cards sketch the adult boards people call simpcity forums, simpcity, and simptown. A room is a category with a job. Clicking one leaves this index and opens simpcity.cr.

How to choose

Match the post to the job of the room

Simpcity forums stay readable because a recommendation does not sit in a bug report, and a first-night question about email confirmation does not sit in a lifestyle thread. If you are unsure, ask in Community before you post in the wrong node. The room section of the reading guide says the same thing in the middle of the longer map.

Main boards

Use this when the topic is the ordinary business of the forum and it is not support, not a guide, and not an introduction. The title should be specific enough that someone scanning the list knows whether to open it. “Help” and “question” waste the only line the room list shows. Read the last page of a similar thread before you start a new one — the answer may already be there, dated and corrected.

Lifestyle and talk

Recommendations, taste, and day-to-day conversation belong here. This is the room most likely to grow duplicate threads, because two people describe the same thing with different words. Search two or three of those words first. If you find a close thread, reply in it with the detail you would have used as a new title. A reply in the right thread is more useful than a fresh thread nobody will connect to the old one.

Guides and tips

This room is for process: how search works, how watches differ from bookmarks, how to title a post, what to do when a mirror looks real. The notes on simpcity.run cover the same ground for people who have not signed in yet. On the live boards, a guide thread should teach one job. If you notice your draft is really two topics, split them. The second topic will never be found if it is hiding under the first title.

Community

Introductions and meta questions live here. A useful introduction is short: the username you will actually keep, one line about what you came to read, and nothing that identifies you offline. “Where does this kind of post go?” is a community question. “My confirmation mail never arrived” is not — that is support. Community is also where regulars will point you at a thread that already exists, which is why it is a calmer first stop than the main boards.

Support

Login failures, missing register mail, and layout bugs. Bring the username, the inbox you used, and what you already tried: spam, promotions, one resend, a second browser, the exact host in the address bar. Do not open a second account to test whether simpcity forums are up. Support cannot merge two half-finished signups as easily as they can resend one confirmation. Password resets happen on simpcity.cr, not on this preview.

Finish simpcity register on the live host before you try to post in any of these rooms. The cards above open simpcity.cr. They do not create an account.
